Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most biodiverse protected area. The Kazinga Channel connects Lakes Edward and George, creating Africa’s densest hippo concentration alongside elephant, buffalo, and 600+ bird species. The famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha — one of only two populations on Earth that regularly climb trees — inhabit the park’s southern sector.
